It's been a while since we've been commenting on our social media that we were selected to participate in a growth acceleration program called Start-Up Chile.
But do you know what it is and how it works?
The program is managed by the Chilean Agency for Economic Development, with a mission to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation to improve productivity in Chile.
The selected startups participate in a 24-week program in Santiago where they receive mentorship, office space and access to the most powerful social and capital networks in the country.
Entrepreneurial Start-Up Chile participants are evaluated during the time they participate in the program by indicators that include their participation in local events, presenting workshops on their specific expertise, raising local or international capital and hiring talent, and with us it will be no different. !
One of our founders, Daniel Buglia, is responsible for taking care of this program and told us a little bit about being part of Start-Up Chile.
It's time to multiply your sales
little gobutt – What are the prospects for the program so far?
Daniel - The Startup Chile program is very well known here in Chile, most of the people I talk to know the program, which helps when trying to approach clients.
In addition, the program's staff is very well connected, so if we have questions about any kind of subject they can connect us with the best people to talk about it.
little gobutt – What are the challenges faced in Chile?
Daniel - There is a very big cultural challenge, especially in the way of doing business, we are understanding the best ways to approach companies.
And besides, the language also makes it very difficult, especially in contacts via phone, if you don't have very good Spanish it will be difficult to talk to companies.
little gobutt – How many customers do we have in Latin America and how many have entered for testing?
Daniel - So far we are working with 8 customers in Latin America, and in addition to them, there are 4 stores in test and approximately 20 with ongoing contact.
little gobutt – What advantages will it bring to gobots to participate in this project?
Daniel - We believe that we will be able to create a base in Latin America, which will allow us to expand to other countries in the region such as Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and Peru.
And with that we will also know how prepared we are to make this expansion and whether or not the government's investment in the GoBots project is an opportunity to expand.
little gobutt – By participating in the acceleration, do you believe that the company's visibility will increase?
Daniel - We believe so, both in Brazil and in Chile, it is one of the main acceleration programs in the world and here in Chile they have a very large structure with access to local media and everything else, so we believe that if they manage to do business here they will be able to promote it.
In addition, companies also look for them to find out what opportunities for new technologies they have, and with that, it can happen the dissemination of our business to companies here.
little gobutt – After Start-Up Chile, what will be the next steps? Do you already have in mind to participate in other acceleration projects?
Daniel - There is an extension of the Start-Up Chile program that generates another R$ 140 thousand in investment if the business is selected, but regardless of this, the objective is to create the base of Latin America in Santiago and continue the expansion to other countries.
Regarding other acceleration programs, we do not have any other in our planning.
